Posted on 20 September 2009 by admin
HP has brought out something quite interesting – a mix between a digital photoframe and a netbook, and they call it the ‘DreamScreen’. It comes in 2 sizes – a 10″ and 13″, both running an 840×480 pixel display.
Hardware wise, they’re both powered by a ARM based processor, and feature 2gb of solid state, built in storage. Both devices also include Ethernet, 8021.11b/g WiFi, and support for MPEG 1,2, 4, and H.264 video as well as JPG, PNG, and BMP images and MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV audio. They can handle a number of flash card formats including CF, SDHC, Memory Stick, and xD.
The DreamScreen 100 is available for $249.99 at Amazon and the 13 inch DreamScreen 130 is available for $299.99, also at Amazon.
Check out the hands on video after the break.
